CHERTHALA: The police arrested a private bus driver and conductor for operating the bus after using ganja. The arrested persons are Cherthala native Sajan (35) and Mararikkulam native Amal (23). Both of them were arrested from the Cherthala private bus stand on Wednesday afternoon.

The police arrested the two during an inspection conducted on private buses based on a tip-off. In the medical examination conducted by the police, it was found that both of them had taken drugs. The two were later released on station bail. Station House Officer B Vinod Kumar said that the police have launched an investigation to find the people who delivered ganja to them.
