NEW DELHI: While the INDIA bloc has begun the discussions to devise its strategies to defeat the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, an MP of the alliance has raised a strange complaint against the Congress.
It was Janata Dal-United (JDU) MP Sunil Kumar Pintu who took a jibe at the Congress by raising the complaint. He said that the Congress did not have money even to provide samosas during the INDIA bloc meeting. He said that during the earlier meetings of the alliance, samosas were given with tea. However, the fourth INDIA bloc meeting was limited to just tea and biscuits.
"They are seeking donations of Rs 138, Rs 1380 or Rs 13,800. The donations are yet to come in. So, the meeting finished on just tea and biscuits without samosa and without any discussion on any serious issue," he said.
Meanwhile, BJP MPs mocked the JD(U) saying that the party would continue to raise such trivial complaints until Nitish Kumar was announced as the prime ministerial candidate of the INDIA bloc.
