NEW DELHI: In the event of an increase in the number of JN1 covid cases in the country, the central health department has urged the public to be cautious. 358 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the number of people undergoing treatment for the disease has reached 2,669. Three people have died due to covid in the last 24 hours. With this, the all-time total death toll has reached 5,33,327. 4,44,70,576 people have been cured. Currently, the recovery rate is 98.81.
Most of the new cases have been reported from Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. In view of the increasing number of covid patients and the death rate, the Union Health Ministry held a review meeting, presided by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavya, the other day. The meeting considered that it is important to be cautious. It was directed that the centre and the states should make a joint effort to curb the disease, monitor those who show symptoms and provide timely treatment to those who are seriously affected by the disease.
