KOCHI: BJP State President, Surendran has accused the Pinarayi government in Kerala of breaching democratic norms. He stated that SFI-DYFI criminals are exerting control over the police leading to lawlessness. Surendran cautioned that if this trend continues despite the support of 99 MLAs, the government might not endure until 2026.
Surendran emphasized the importance of the Kerala Police upholding constitutional duties. He suggested employing central forces if necessary to restore order in universities or dissolve the Pinarayi government.
Highlighting recent events, Surendran mentioned the detention of Calicut University senate members by SFI members preventing them from taking their oaths. He assured full support from the BJP and the central government to the governor's efforts aimed at safeguarding democracy and enhancing education quality in Kerala universities.
