NEW DELHI: The price of LPG commercial cylinders is set to decrease by Rs 39 per cylinder owing to the decline in global oil prices. Despite this reduction, the prices for domestic LPG cylinders will remain unaffected.

Currently, in Delhi, the commercial cylinder costs Rs 1796.50, Rs 1749 in Mumbai, Rs 1908 in Kolkata and Rs 1968.50 in Chennai. Following the reduction, prices will adjust to Rs 1757.50 in Delhi, Rs 1710 in Mumbai, Rs 1869 in Kolkata and Rs 1929.50 in Chennai.

This proactive price adjustment by the oil marketing company comes ahead of the festive season, specifically before Christmas and New Year celebrations. The adjustment reducing the commercial cylinder rates precedes the usual monthly revisions of the LPG cylinder prices.

Earlier on December 1, the LPG cylinder prices increased by Rs 21, while on November 16, they were reduced by Rs 57 per cylinder. Such fluctuations in commercial LPG cylinder prices have been observed for some time with rates being revised multiple times within a month.
