CHENNAI: Police arrested a 32-year-old teacher who eloped with a Plus One student. The said woman, Hepsiba, a private school teacher near Sholinganallur, Chennai, was charged with section under the POCSO Act. According to the police, the two natives of Chennai were in love. Hepsiba, who had separated from her husband earlier, got close to the plus one student of the school she was teaching and this later turned into love.

The student went to school on Tuesday morning and did not return till evening. When the family went to the school to inquire, they got information that he had not reached there that day. Then the family filed a complaint with the police. During the investigation conducted by the police, it was found that the teacher Hepzibah also did not come to the school on Tuesday. It was only later that the police and the family realized that the two were in love and had eloped. When the mobile networks of both were checked, it was found that they are in Karamada, Coimbatore. Following this, the police took both into custody. When questioned, the teacher said that she had come for an excursion.

The police said that the woman was subjected to medical examination and further action will be taken.
