THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IMD has predicted rain at isolated places in the state for the next five days. Cyclonic Circulation is prevailing over Southeast Arabian Sea and Southwest Arabian Sea. Apart from this, another Cyclonic Circulation is located near the equator over the Indian Ocean and Southwest Bay of Bengal.

IMD has informed that there is no restriction on fishing in the Kerala-Karnataka coasts and no one should go fishing in the Lakshadweep area. Strong winds with speed of 40 to 45 km per hour and occasional up to 55 km per hour and bad weather conditions are likely over Lakshadweep today.

According to Indian Meteorological Department, strong winds with a speed of 40 to 45 km per hour and at times up to 55 km per hour are likely in Kanyakumari region and adjoining Maldives region. Fishing in these areas will not be allowed.
