NEW DELHI: Drone attack on cargo ship in Indian Ocean. It is reported that the ship was damaged in today's attack and there were no casualties. The attack took place 200 nautical miles southwest of the Veraval coast in India.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The drone strike was confirmed by the British military's United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations and Ambray, a global maritime risk management firm.
UK Maritime Trade Operations also said that there was fire on board the ship in the attack. Ambrey said that the attack was on an Israeli-approved chemical products tanker with the flag of Liberia. An investigation has been initiated into the incident. Caution was issued to other ships.
