NEW DELHI: An employee with a complaint that she and two other women were sexually assaulted by the manager and three supervisors at a hospital. The incident took place at a government hospital in Delhi's Burari. After receiving the complaint, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj asked the Chief Secretary to inquire and submit a report.
A woman working in the housekeeping department is the one who has come forward with the complaint. The lady is working in Burari government Hospital on a temporary basis. According to the police, the woman complained that she was molested by the manager and supervisors of the agency that recruited her.
According to the police, the accused were given a notice and taken into custody based on the woman's complaint. The Minister told the Chief Secretary that he had noticed a huge outcry on social media over the incident at the government hospital. The report has been sought based on this.
The incident took place on December 17 and 19 at the hospital. There is also a strong allegation that the police have a soft approach towards the accused. According to the complaint, the gang threatened the employees that they would be fired if they did not give in to their demands.
The minister said that the government's position is that those who commit violence against women should be given appropriate punishment and he heard that the recruitment company manager and three supervisors have been dismissed from their jobs.
