NEW DELHI: Three minors have been arrested in connection with the death of a young man, whose charred corpse was found in Amir Khusro Park. The deceased has been identified as Azad, native of Hazrat Nizamuddin. According to the police, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old committed the murder.

The murder was committed at around 10 pm on Thursday. The accused have alleged that the deceased Azad had sexually assaulted one of them several times. The accused have stated that the murder was done as a revenge. After the murder, they tried to burn the body to destroy the evidence. The police also said that the weapons used by the accused in the murder have been recovered.

Emergency response vehicle staff who were on duty at night informed the police about the arrest of three suspects. The information about the murder comes out during the subsequent investigation. Neighbours said that three people were behind the murder, which made the investigating officers suspicious. Later, a half-dismembered body was found in South Delhi's Amir Khusro Park.
