CENTURION: It is usual for South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada to go into a frenzy when seeing Indian star batsman Rohit Sharma on the pitch. The unsung rivalry is slowly making headlines as India faces South Africa in the first test after the World Cup tournament.

Rohit can do whatever batting masterclass on the pitch but Rabada will make sure that the crucial wicket will fall into his pocket. The routine was duly followed on Tuesday as Rohit Shamra had to depart back to the dressing room for just five runs after he mistimed a bouncer from Rabada which went across the fine leg, only to land in the safe hands of Andre Burger.

With this, Rabada also made the record as the bowler who dismissed Rohit the most number of times. Rohit had been dismissed by Rabada 13 times in various formats. Rohit was also dismissed by Rabada in the group stage match of the World Cup which concluded last month. Rohit got out that day by giving a catch to captain Themba Bavuma at mid-off.

Kagiso Rabada surpassed Kiwi pacer Tim Southee's record of 12 dismissals of Rohit. Angelo Mathews (10 times), Nathan Lyon (nine) and Trent Boult (eight) are a few other bowlers who have dismissed Rohit the most number of times apart from Rabada.
