SABARIMALA: The Thanga Anki procession reached Sannidhanam with only hours left for the Mandalkala Pilgrimage to end. The Deeparadhana of Sabarishan was performed by donning the Thanga Anki. Thousands of people waited at Sabarimala to catch a glimpse of Ayyan. The procession reached Pampa at 1:30 pm today and left for Sannidhanam at 3:00 pm. At five o'clock, the Devaswom authorities and the police received the procession at Saramkuthy. The procession reached Sannidhanam at half past six. Tantri Kandararu Mahesh Mohanaru and Sabarimala Melshanthi PN Mahesh received the thanga robes in procession at Pathinettam Padi. Deeparadhana followed.
The procession started from Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple on 23rd. Deeparadhana donning the Thanga Anki will be held tomorrow also, the day on which the first 41 days of Mandala-Makaravilak Pilgrimage will be completed. Mandala Puja will be held between 10.30 am and 11 am on 27th. Neyyabhishekam will be done only till 9.45 am on that day. The nada will be closed at 10 pm after that. On December 30, nada will be opened for the Makarvilak Pilgrimage at 5 PM. Makaravilak is on January 15.
