KOZHIKODE: Ambiguity looms in Kerala congress after the party received an invitation to participate in the Ram temple inauguration in Ayodhya.

MP K Muraleedharan stated that the party's position in Kerala is not to participate in the function and it has been communicated to the national leadership. The national leadership will take an appropriate decision after consultation within the party and among the parties of the India Front. The sentiments of the party in Kerala have been conveyed to KC Venugopal. K Muraleedharan said that it was the decision of the party leadership in Kerala not to participate in the Inaugural ceremony under any circumstances.

Meanwhile, K Sudhakaran responded contrary to Muraleedharan and said that the high command would take the decision but not KPCC. Meanwhile, MP Shashi Tharoor ridiculed CPM saying the party being atheist can decide in haste about going to the ceremony but not the Congress party, which is inclusive of all sections.

“ We have our position and we will not fall into the religious trap weaved by BJP,” said congress leader KC Venugopal.
