MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin wishes Modi success in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Putin wished Modi 'success' during his meeting with Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. "I ask you to convey to him my best wishes," Putin said. He said that even if there are political changes at the administration level, the traditional friendship between New Delhi and Moscow will always remain. Putin invited Modi to visit Russia and requested Jaishankar to convey his regards and invitation to Modi.
India and Russia also agreed on joint production of military equipment. The announcement was made after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. This is the seventh time that both of them are meeting. Lavrov also said that he fully supports India's desire to self-build the necessary military equipment for the country. 'There have been ups and downs in the relations between the countries of the world but the relationship between India and Russia has remained stable in global politics for the last 70-80 years,' Jaishankar said
India and Russia also signed an agreement to build future power generation units at the Koodamkulam nuclear power plant in Tamil Nadu. An agreement in this regard was reached during Jaishankar's meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
