MUMBAI: ICC fined India for low over rate after losing by an innings in the first match of the India-South Africa Test series. The referee fined India 10 percent of the match fee. With this, India lost two points in the World Test Championship. The ICC's action is in the first Test against South Africa. India lost the match by one innings and 32 runs.

India could not overcome South Africa's first innings lead of 163 runs. India were bowled out for just 131 in the second innings while South Africa won by an innings and 32 runs. With the loss, India dropped two points to fifth place in the World Test Championship table.
India went into bat in the second innings on the third day and were all out for 131 runs in 34.1 overs. Virat Kohli was the top scorer. Kohli scored 76 runs off 82 balls with one six and 12 fours.
