THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The tussle between Governor Arif Muhammad Khan and the state government was evident at the swearing-in ceremony of new ministers as well. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan did not greet each other despite being on the same stage at the swearing-in ceremony of Ganesh Kumar and Kadannappalli.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and ministers did not attend the tea party hosted by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at Raj Bhavan after the swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers as well. Only the newly appointed Ministers Kadannappalli Ramachandran, KB Ganeshkumar and Forest Minister AK Saseendran attended the tea party.

The swearing-in ceremony took place amid the government's approach to the Supreme Court against the Governor's withholding of bills and the controversy surrounding the nomination of Senate members. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan, who reached the function on time, did not speak to anyone. He left the stage after completing the ceremony following which the Chief Minister and ministers boycotted the tea party.
