AYODHYA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ayodhya on Saturday morning to inaugurate a host of development projects. However, the Prime Minister who was covered in a security blanket amidst death threats from Khalistan extremists, decided to take tea from a special location.
PM Modi visited the house of a beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and had tea while engaging in some amicable talks. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is a scheme to provide LPG cylinders to poor people who had hitherto used firewood and coal for cooking. The use of traditional cooking gases is very harmful to the health of rural women and the scheme was brought in the eradicate the age-old practice.
On another note, PM Modi received a rousing welcome from people who thronged the narrow streets of Ayodhya, braving the winter fog. PM Modi will inaugurate the newly built airport and lay the foundation stones for various development projects in UP.
The Prime Minister’s visit is marked as BJP’s unofficial start of their election campaigning for 2024.
