THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rapid Response and Rescue Force (RRRF) Commandant K E Baiju, who was accused of brutally beating up a protesting Youth Congress worker during the Nava Kerala Sadas in Kozhikode, has been transferred to the Assistant Director (Training) section of the Kerala Police Academy.
Kozhikode DCC had complained about Baiju's rogue act and demanded strict action in this regard. Nine IPS officers including Baiju have been transferred as per the new notification. Seven officials have also been promoted. G. Jaidev, Deputy Commissioner of the VIP Security Division, has been given the additional charge of Railway Police SP. Former Railway SP K S Gopakumar has been appointed as SP of the Financial Offenses Wing (Thiruvananthapuram Range).
Police Academy Assistant Director (Administration) R. Suneesh Kumar has been made AIG in Women and Child Cell. India Reserve Battalion Commandant Aishwarya Dogra as Police Academy Assistant Director (Administration) and Armed Women Police Battalion Commandant N. Abdul Rasheed has been appointed as South Region Traffic SP while South Region Vigilance SP R. Jayashankar was made SP of Crime Branch Thiruvananthapuram Central Unit 4.
Crime Branch Thiruvananthapuram Central Unit 1- V. Sunilkumar, who was SP, has been made SP of Supplyco Vigilance by the Food Public Distribution Department.
K.K.Aji, who was the Central Unit-4 SP of Crime Branch Thiruvananthapuram, has been appointed as the South Region Vigilance SP and AS Raju, who was the AIG of the Women and Child Cell, has been appointed as the Thrissur Crime Branch SP.
BV Vijay Bharat Reddy as Telecom SP, T. Faraz as RRRF Commandant, Taposh Basumatary as Special Operations Group SP, Shahul Hameed as Indian Reserve Battalion Commandant, Nakul Rajendra Desh Mukh as Armed Women Police Battalion Commandant, K. Pavithran as Armed Police-4th Battalion Commandant and Juvvanapudi Maheshas KAP 5th Battalion Commandant are the officers who received promotion.
