THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three employees, including two women, of a jewelery shop have been arrested in Marthandam for allegedly stealing gold. The arrested have been identified as Aneesh (29) from Arumana, Shalini from Pammam and Abisha from Payanam.

The accused stole 54 sovereign gold and 6 kg silver ornaments from the jewellery where they worked.

The theft was noticed when the jewelery manager found that the gold jewelery was missing and checked the CCTV. After that, the owner of the establishment conducted an investigation and found out that Aneesh had built a house and bought a vehicle. With this, he filed a complaint with the police along with the CCTV footage.

Aneesh revealed the role of the other two accused in the detailed interrogation conducted by the police. The police said that the female employees aided Aneesh to steal the gold by tampering with the computer.
