IDUKKI: Migrant girl molested in Munnar. A twelve-year-old girl was taken to the forest and brutally assaulted. The incident took place three days ago at Munnar Chittivara Estate.

The girl from Jharkhand was raped. When there was no one at home, the accused took the child to the forest. The incident came to light when the girl's relatives inquired after she felt body pain. Later a complaint was lodged with the police. The girl has also stated to the police that she was molested. The search for the accused has started.

Last night, a 17-year-old girl belonging to a backward class in Nedunkandam, Idukki was arrested after she was given alcohol to make her unconscious and then raped by her male friend and two people who helped him. One of them is a minor. The rape victim is undergoing treatment at Idukki Medical College. The girl's male friend Ashik, his friend Anesh and another minor were caught.
