KOCHI: In a heartfelt meeting at the residence of Prof M.K. Sanu, newly appointed CPI State Secretary Binoy Vishwam MP made his inaugural visit to Ernakulam. The encounter began with an emotional exchange between Vishwam and M K Sanu.
Expressing deep reverence, Vishwam regarded his visit as that of a disciple rather than a political leader. Overwhelmed by emotion, he found it challenging to articulate his sentiments noting Sanu as a beacon of virtuous values, the epitome of fraternity and a guardian of secular democracy.
At 97 years old, M.K. Sanu's mental vigor and profound recollection of historical events and personalities continue to inspire generations. Vishwam fondly described Sanu as an embodiment of admiration in every aspect.
In response, M.K. Sanu praised Vishwam's commitment to defending secularism amid contemporary challenges, acknowledging his strength derived from a rich legacy. Sanu highlighted the significance of having a leader like Vishwam steering the CPI.
The encounter concluded with Vishwam bidding farewell to Sanu and sharing a gesture of affection by giving him a kiss. Present at the meeting was CICC Jayachandran, President of Maharajas College Old Students Association.
Reflecting on the interaction, Binoy Vishwam conveyed his longstanding wish to meet Prof. M.K. Sanu upon assuming the role of Secretary within the Communist Party.
