THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress will ignore CPI's opposition to Rahul Gandhi's contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Wayanad again. The CPI and LDF are opposed to Rahul Gandhi, who is being considered as the prime ministerial candidate of the INDIA alliance formed to face the BJP alliance, coming back to Kerala and clashing with the left front.
CPI State Secretary Binoy Vishwam demanded that Rahul Gandhi give a political message directly against the BJP. Deepadas Munshi, General Secretary of AICC in charge of Kerala, did not give a positive response to it. The failure of the Congress in the five state elections held after the formation of the 'INDIA' bloc is analyzed as the lack of coordination within the alliance. The question is whether this will be repeated in the Lok Sabha elections as well.
The Congress is also unable to respond to the BJP's claim that Rahul is fleeing without contesting against them in North India. His candidature in Wayanad adds fuel to the Sangh Parivar's accusation that Rahul is not capable of contesting against the Modi-led front in the upcoming elections.
