KOZHIKODE: The union office of the Guruvayurappan College in Kozhikode was set on fire, resulting in its destruction. KSU alleged that the renovated union office was set ablaze after the KSU took over the college union. KSU activists also alleged that anti-social elements were behind the incident.

Union office bearers noticed that the union office was destroyed by fire when the college reopened on Wednesday after the Christmas break. Following this, KSU leaders lodged a complaint with the Kasaba police. The police have started an investigation into the incident. As a sign of protest, KSU union officials will observe a one-day fast from 9 am on Thursday.
