NEW DELHI: Two men were arrested in Uttar Pradesh for threatening to blow up the Ram Temple using bombs, while another was arrested for posting provocative messages on social media. Tahar Singh and Om Prakash Mishra, natives of UP Gonda, who had issued a threat to blow up the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and Jhansi native Sibran Makrani, who had posted to take revenge for the demolition of the Babri Masjid, were arrested by the anti-terrorist squad. Tahar Singh and Om Prakash Mishra had also threatened to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
On December 27, the UP police headquarters received the threatening e-mail from the accused. STF ADGP Amitabh Yash also received a threat message. Following this, the accused were arrested.
The police have started an investigation into the incident. Tahar Singh and Om Prakash Mishra are residents of Gonda and work in a paramedical institute. The group posted the threatening message using email IDs alamansarikhan608@gmail.com and zubairkhanisi199@gmail.com.
