KOVALAM: In a twist to the theft case at Vazhamuttam Govt. High School, the missing laptop and projector worth Rs 4 lakhs were found on the wall of the headmistress's residence. Sreeja, the headmistress and a native of Venganur-Panangode stumbled upon a letter and a bag containing the stolen items at 7:00 a.m.
The thief left an apology note addressed to the headmistress expressing remorse and pleading for forgiveness. Sreeja immediately alerted her family and reported the discovery to Kovalam police. Authorities retrieved the laptop and projector from the bag upon arrival.
The incident dates back to January 1st when two laptops and four projectors were stolen from the high-tech classrooms of Vazhamuttam Govt High School. Investigators suspect the thief intended to frame the headmistress by leaving the stolen items at her residence. The police are intensifying their investigation after collecting the items for examination by fingerprint experts.
