THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police gave clean chit to a KSU leader in connection with fake certificate allegation. According to the police report submitted in the court, the news in the CPM mouthpiece that KSU state convener Anzil Jaleel had forged a certificate is unfounded. Anzil Jaleel told the media that he is happy that the truth has come out and will take legal action against Desabhimani for reporting fake news.
The police investigation was based on the complaint received by Kerala University based on the news in Desabhimani. The case against Anzil was that he had forged a B.Com degree certificate of Kerala University. The police report was filed in JFCM Court, Thiruvananthapuram.
Following the complaint, Anzil Jaleel was interrogated several times by the police. He was also asked to produce his SSLC and Plus Two certificates. In the report, the investigation conducted by the Cantonment Police could not find any fake certificate.
