DUBAI: Twenty20 World Cup 2024 is set to kick off with the opening match between hosts USA and Canada on June 1. The anticipation peaks as arch-rivals India and Pakistan are grouped together in Group A alongside Ireland and the USA. There are 20 teams across four groups - A, B, C and D.

India's thrilling matches include a highly anticipated face-off against Pakistan in New York on June 9 followed by clashes against Ireland, the USA and Canada. Reigning champions England and ODI World Cup titleholders Australia are placed in Group B with Namibia, Scotland and Oman.

The primary round matches will decide the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super Eight round. From there, four teams will reach the semi-finals culminating in the grand final set to take place in Barbados on June 29. Throughout this tournament, there will be a total of 55 matches offering cricket fans around the globe an exciting display of talent and competition. If India advances to the Super Eight stage, they are slated to face Barbados. Matches taking place across six locations in the Caribbean islands and the USA.
