MUMBAI: A case has been registered against a BJP MLA for slapping a policeman during a public event. The police have registered a case against Pune Cantonment MLA Sunil Kamble. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was also on the stage with Sunil when the incident happened. The footage of the MLA hitting the policeman was circulated on social media.

In the video, Sunil is seen losing his balance and purportedly getting angry with the police personnel standing there and slapping him during a public event at Sassoon Hospital in Pune. The victim is a constable of Bundgarden police station. Meantime, the MLA came forward with a response. He said that he had not attacked the cop and when coming down the steps, he pushed him and went ahead.
