BENGALURU: Special poojas have been ordered in all the temples under the Karnataka Devaswom Board during the consecration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The order in this regard was issued by Karnataka Devaswom Minister Ramalinga Reddy. The government has issued the new order amid confusion about whether the Congress should participate in the ceremony to be held at the Ram temple on the 22nd of this month.
On the day of the Prana Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, special pujas are to be performed in temples under the Devaswom Board from 12:29 to 12:32. The order applies only to temples under the Devaswom Board. It has been decided to hold extensive programs in other temples of Karnataka on that day under the leadership of Hindu organizations including Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
There is a huge crisis within the Congress at the national level and in various states regarding the ceremony at the Ram Temple. It is noteworthy that there is such a move from the government of a Congress-ruled state in this situation. It is reported that neither Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah nor Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar have received an official invitation to attend the function at the Ram temple.
