MUNDAKAYAM: The driver of the bus died after a bus carrying Sabarimala pilgrims overturned on the Koruthodu-Sabarimala road. 13 people were injured. The deceased has been identified as Tamil Nadu Madurai North native Ramakrishnan (40). The accident took place at around 12.30 yesterday night. The bus went out of control at the bend in Kosadi and overturned. It is concluded that the driver may have fallen asleep.

The injured people are Arumukhann (47), Gopi (24), Santhanam (43), Pandyan (43), Karthikeyan (17), Saravanan (16), Vasanthakumar (22), Rajakumar (42), Manikandan (45), Vikram (13), Arunkumar (29), Anirudha (15) and Raja (50). They have been admitted to the private hospital in Pala.
