THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Shyamala, a widow from Adoor Marur Surya Bhavan and her daughter, faced hardship after their home was devastated in a natural calamity on March 6, 2023. Living in a nearby shed with no one to rely on, their plight caught the attention of the Nava Kerala Sadas.

A complaint lodged with the Nava Kerala Sadas prompted swift action. An inspection by local authorities confirmed that 95 percent of damaged houses including Shyamala's were uninhabitable. This report was promptly submitted to the collector.
