JAIPUR: Rajasthan Minister Babulal Kharadi has stirred controversy with his recent remarks, suggesting that people should have more children to receive houses from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at a public event in Udaipur, he stated, "It is the Prime Minister's dream that no one should go hungry or be homeless. May you give birth to many children. Prime Minister Ji will build houses for you."

Kharadi also highlighted the central government's reduction of LPG cylinder prices by Rs 200 and shared plans by the BJP-led government in Rajasthan to make cylinders available at Rs 450 through the Ujjwala scheme. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was present during the event. Kharadi, a recent addition to the cabinet made these remarks at the gathering.

The controversial statement has sparked discussions on social media with many questioning the appropriateness of linking childbirth to housing benefits.
