THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Newly sworn-in minister Ganesh Kumar has vowed to overhaul the driving license test format in the state. The change will start with the learners test where the questions will be increased from 20 to 30. The minister also clarified that the exam will be passed only if 25 out of 30 questions are answered correctly. Along with this, the minister has informed that not more than 20 licenses should be allowed from the office in a day.

"It's not about driving the vehicle, but about managing the vehicle. That's what parking and reverse are for. No recommendation will work in this field. The working of driving schools should also follow change as per the new reforms. Everything will be captured on camera. Four and a half lakh licenses and RC books are to be distributed in the state,” said the minister.

"Officials should not use expletive language inside vehicles conducting driving tests. Children and women should be treated very respectfully. Everything will be recorded on camera and it will be saved for three months. People with complaints can approach RTO within three months of the driving test and the video will be studied again.” the minister said while talking with online media.
