THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A verbal altercation ensued between director Jude Anthany Joseph and the audience on the Kerala Literary stage. Some among the audience harangued Jude regarding the director's meek portrayal of Kerala CM and the government in the movie 2018. Many among the crowd booed at Jude, but the director was unfazed by the happenings and alleged that the person who asked him the question came with a purely political motive.

“Please keep your politics within yourself and don’t try to put it on me. I have not insulted the CM in my movie. My core intention was to show how Kerala stood united during such a calamity. I am not involved in politics but I know the politics you espouse. So whatever I answer wont to suffice to satisfy you ” Jude said.

In the meanwhile, Jude took a jibe asking ‘You are which branch secretary ?” to the person asking questions. In a repartee, someone among the crowd asked Jude to answer questions forthrightly rather than making a mockery.

With this, some people came forward in support of Jude. Journalist and writer Josy Joseph, who was present at the stage, said that the Chief Minister was not shown badly in 2018. With this, the audience started booing at the dais.
