THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary MV Govindan has said that the investigation against Exalogic is a political move and the measures are being taken because it is the organization of the Chief Minister's daughter. There are also investigations against opposition parties. Govindan said in the press conference that this is a move seen ahead of the elections.

'There is no need to be afraid of the investigation. The party won't be affected in the investigation against the Chief Minister's daughter. The Congress' stance is double-edged opposing when the inquiry is against them and welcoming it when it is against others', Govindan said.

Regarding MT's criticism, he said that CPM is a movement that listens to constructive criticism by writers and artists. 'What MT said is the general picture of the world. If change is necessary, do not hesitate to accept it. CPM is a party with a positive attitude. The party is undergoing change. The error correction process is part of it', he said.

'The remark that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is like the burning sun is not personal worship. I have not performed personal puja to anyone. CPM is not a party that supports personal worship. This is an error in interpretation of texts,' he added.

He also added that he has not received the notice of the lawyer of Youth Congress President Rahul Mankootil demanding a compensation of Rs. 1 crore. He also referred to what the court had said regarding the fake medical certificate. The court has clarified that there was no name or seal of the hospital in the discharge certificate. The court became concerned when Rahul's lawyer argued that there were reasons such as blood clotting disease and back pain.
