NEW DELHI: Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi gets off to an exciting start in Manipur. Although the Manipur government had permitted 3000 people to participate, tens of thousands of Congress workers came to the inauguration ceremony. With the Lok Sabha elections around the corner, the second Bharat Jodo Yatra is being held to reach out directly to the People. Party president Mallikarjun Kharge flagged off the Yatra at Nyay Maidani, Khongjom, Thoubal.

Kharge and Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP ruthlessly at the event. Kharge ridiculed PM Modi, for visiting beaches often but not sparing time to visit a riot-hit Manipur. Rahul Gandhi was next on the list as he charged against RSS and BJP leadership.

“ BJP never cared to see the tears of people in Manipur. Do the RSS leadership still consider Manipur as part of India or what?” Rahul asked. Rahul said his Nyay Yathra is different and denied having any resemblances with Modi’s Mann Ki Baat.

“ In this event, we listen to the people's Mann Ki Baat. Manipur is the worst example of BJP’s hate politics. This yatra is intended to bring back the lost friendship and love to Manipur. We will find solutions for the weaker sections who are excluded from the political and administrative system. The problems of farmers, small workers and women will be heard.” Rahul Gandhi said.

Senior leaders, chief ministers, working committee members, PCC presidents, and legislative party leaders also attended the function.
