TRIPRAYAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Guruvayoor on Wednesday. He will offer prayers at the Triprayar Sri Ram Temple at 10:50 am. This visit, strategically timed before the Ayodhya consecration ceremony, holds political significance. The Prime Minister will spend an hour in the temple with his arrival at the Valappad high school grounds expected around 10:17 am. Notably, this marks the Prime Minister's first visit to the Triprayar Temple.

Security measures were assessed by Collector VR Krishna Teja, Rural Police Chief Navneet Sharma, Kodungallur DYSP Salish N. Shankar and Valappad CI KS Sushanth. SPG in-charge Suresh Raj Purohit discussed security arrangements at the Valappad station. Cochin Devaswom Board President Dr MK Sudarshan, Devaswom Special Commissioner C Anil Kumar and Devaswom Manager AP Suresh also participated in the security discussion.

The temple tantri, Padmanabhan Namboothiripad extended an invitation to the Prime Minister on January 1. In his letter, he highlighted that the idol worshipped at the temple is associated with Lord Krishna and idols of Lord Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrugha were consecrated simultaneously after being retrieved from the sea.
