NEW DELHI: A passenger attacked the pilot after the announcement that the flight would be delayed. The incident took place last night at one o'clock in the IndiGo flight (6E-2175) which was supposed to depart from New Delhi to Goa. The footage of the passenger Sahil Kataria attacking the pilot is going viral on social media. Indigo has filed a complaint against the man in the incident.
In the video, the pilot can be clearly heard telling passengers that the flight will be delayed due to heavy fog. After that, a man wearing yellow clothes comes quickly from the back seat and attacks the pilot. In the video, other passengers can be seen trying to hold back the man. After the incident, the man was handed over to the authorities by fellow passengers. The police and the Aviation Security Agency have started an investigation into the incident.
A passenger punched an Indigo capt in the aircraft as he was making delay announcement. The guy ran up from the last row and punched the new Capt who replaced the previous crew who crossed FDTL. Unbelievable ! @DGCAIndia @MoCA_GoI pic.twitter.com/SkdlpWbaDd

About 600 flights were cancelled in Delhi and neighbouring states last day alone due to fog and extreme cold. The heavy fog which lasted for almost 12 hours significantly affected land, rail and air traffic. The maximum visibility was less than 200 meters from 12:30 am to 3 am. Then from 3 am to 10:30 in the morning visibility became zero and thousands of commuters and common people suffered. Indigo has been facing serious allegations recently.
