LUCKNOW: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has acquired land in the holy city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh when the Ram temple consecration ceremony is going to take place on January 22. It is reported that Bachchan bought the land in Seven Star Enclave in Ayodhya.
Although there is no official confirmation as to how much land he bought and for how much rupees, it is reported that Bachchan has acquired a 10,000-square-foot plot in Ramanagari for 14.5 crore rupees. There are also reports that the 51-acre site called 'Sarayu' will be inaugurated on the day of the Ram temple consecration itself.
It takes barely 15 minutes from the Ram temple to reach this place and half an hour from the airport. Sources close to Bachchan suggest that a five-star palace hotel will be built on the site. The move is to complete the construction by March 2028. The builders of the building are Mumbai-based 'The House of Abhinandan Lodha'.
Bachchan had said at an event that he wanted to start his journey with The House of Lodha in Sarayu, Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in his heart. He added that the timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya make one feel an emotional connection with the place beyond geographical boundaries.
'This is the beginning of a heartwarming journey into the soul of Ayodhya. Where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly. I want to build my own building in the global spiritual capital," Bachchan said. Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of The House of Abhinandan Lodha, said that Bachchan is the first citizen of Ayodhya Sarayu. Bachchan was born in Prayagraj, four hours away from Ayodhya.
