THRISSUR: Although the Lok Sabha elections are a few months away, Thrissur has already started feeling the heat of the election. Suresh Gopi's campaign had started months ago. Election campaigning is about to get kickstarted in Thrissur as the wall writings for UDF candidate TN Pratapan have also started.
The fact that the Prime Minister is visiting Thrissur twice within two weeks is a boost for the BJP. Meanwhile, the UDF is getting ready to organise a massive rally to overcome all that. LDF is confident that it will catch up even if it is late in starting the campaign.
Although Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Thrissur to attend the marriage of Suresh Gopi's daughter at the Guruvayur temple, it is believed that there is a political motive behind visiting the Triprayar temple as well. There is also a speciality that Modi is visiting the prominent Shri Ram temple in South India ahead of the Prana Pratishtha in Ayodhya.
It is also interesting to note that all three places that Modi will visit are included in the Thrissur parliamentary constituency. The BJP is preparing to host a grand reception for Modi at the helipads in Guruvayur and Triprayar.
Yesterday, Suresh Gopi visited Lourdes Church in Thrissur and presented a golden crown of five sovereigns to the church. He was accompanied by his family. Following this, a war of words started among the three fronts.
