KOCHI: Saffron cap, Modi coat over pyjamas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kochi, Kerala's fashion hub, yesterday in a North Indian getup. It was one of Modi's routines to wear the traditional costume of that state when he visits it. However, Modi chose to wear regular clothes for his second road show in Kerala. Last year, Modi came to the road show in Thevara wearing Jubba and Mundu.
Prime Minister blesses Suresh Gopi's daughter and son-in-law
GURUVAYUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi who came to attend the wedding of actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi's daughter also went for a darshan at Guruvayur temple . Devaswom authorities presented Guruvayurappan's sculpture to the Prime Minister. Modi offered 'Thulabharam' with lotus buds at Guruvayur temple. Narendra Modi, who arrived at the Guruvayoor temple in Kerala attire, was received by Tantri Chenas Namboothiripad and Devaswom President Vijayan. He spent about an hour at the Guruvayur temple. After returning to the guest house, the Prime Minister rested for some time. Modi then attended the wedding of Suresh Gopi's daughter and blessed the bride and groom. The Prime Minister also wished the other brides and grooms who got married in the temple this morning.
Prime Minister leaves for Delhi
Narendra Modi returned to Delhi after completing his two-day visit to Kerala. Prime Minister was seen off at the Kochi International Airport in Nedumbassery under the leadership of Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. After completing the programs in Thrissur and Ernakulam districts, the Prime Minister arrived in a helicopter from the Naval Base at 3:10 PM and returned to Delhi at 3:39 PM in a special Air Force flight.
