KOZHIKODE: Kaushal Shah, the main accused in the fraud committed by a North Indian group using deep fake technology with the help of artificial intelligence for the first time in Kerala, was produced in court. Today afternoon, Kaushal Shah, who is on remand in Tihar Jail in another case, was produced in Kozhikode CJM Court with the help of Delhi Police. The court then allowed the police to interrogate him for two hours, but the police clarified that the accused did not cooperate with the interrogation. Following this the accused was remanded till the 31st of this month. The accused was taken back to Delhi's Tihar Jail. The police have been given permission to interrogate the accused from the 25th to the 28th.

Earlier, the cyber police had issued a production warrant report to bring Kaushal Shah, who was produced in the court through video conferencing, to Kozhikode. The Kozhikode Cyber ​​Police conducted three searches in Gujarat and Goa to arrest Kaushal Shah. Cyber ​​police have already arrested three co-accused in the incident.

K Radhakrishnan, a native of Palazhi, who retired from the central service, fell victim to the fake video call scam in the first week of July. The accused scammed Rs 40,000 from him by faking the image and voice of his friend who worked with him years ago. Sett Muthusamiya Hayat Bai, Siddesh Anand Karve and Amrish Patil Igo of the fraud gang were arrested during the investigation by the City Cyber ​​Crime Police. The accused are remanded in Kozhikode District Jail.
