BENGALURU: The body of a 45-year-old man was found hanging from a fan inside a train stationed at the Sir M Visveswaraya Railway Terminal in Baiyyapanahalli in Karnataka. The dead body was in the compartment of the train which was going from Mysuru to Karaikal.
Mysuru - Karaikal Express is a fully unreserved train. This train reached Bengaluru at 2 am from Mysuru and stopped at platform number 5 of the terminal. When a passenger boarded the train around 7 am, he saw the dead body hanging from the fan. He informed this to the railway staff. After this, the compartment was separated from the train. Due to this, the journey was delayed by three hours.
As per preliminary assumption, he died between 3 am and 3.30 am when the compartment was completely empty. The deceased has not yet been identified. A ticket for traveling from Thrissur to Bengaluru on January 16 was also recovered from the pocket of his cloth. This information has been passed on to the Kerala Police to identify the deceased. The body has now been shifted to the government hospital in CV Raman Nagar.
