NEW DELHI: Israeli companies are ready to give jobs to ten thousand Indians with attractive salaries. The opportunity is for workers working in the construction sector. Recruitment will start under Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana.

In the context of the Israel-Hamas war, the government had cancelled the work permits of many Palestinian workers. Due to this, the country was facing severe labor shortage earlier. Another reason is the recruitment of Israeli construction workers to close the borders to Gaza and the West Bank. It is after this that the government has approached India with a new Israeli move.

With the release of the recruitment information, hundreds of skilled workers have applied for the selection test. "I have applied for the job online. I believe Israeli recruiters will consider my application," said worker Govind Singh.

The recruitment is mainly for tile cutting, fitting, wooden panel fitting, plaster work and iron work. The agency manager informed that a short list will be prepared on the basis of the screening test from the applicants and then the workers will be selected after conducting the interview.

According to a report published by Voice of America last year, companies had asked the Israeli government to bring workers from India in the event that about 100,000 Palestinian construction workers were laid off.
