LUCKNOW: The central government has issued an important order with only hours left for the Ayodhya Ram Temple Prana Pratishta. The central government has announced that strict action will be taken if false messages are spread through social media, television and print media regarding the Ayodhya Ram temple. The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has issued a directive in this regard.

"In the context of the upcoming celebration across India, of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya on 22nd January, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India has observed that certain unverified, provocative and fake messages are being spread, especially on social media, which can disturb communal harmony and public order.

In view of this, the Ministry has issued an advisory today, 20th January, 2024, to newspapers, television channels, digital news publishers and social media platforms, advising them to refrain from publishing or telecasting any content that may be false or manipulated or has the potential to disturb communal harmony or public order in the country. Further, as part of their due diligence obligations, the social media platforms have been advised to make reasonable efforts to not host, display or publish information of the nature mentioned above." the directive says.

Meanwhile, Ayodhya is in a devoutly festive mood as the Prana Pratishtha of Ramlalla Murthy (boy Rama) is scheduled to take place on Monday. Thousands of devotees are marching through the streets chanting Jai Shri Ram. People in hanuman costumes can be seen in many places. The streets are decorated with flags and flowers. At night there are electric lights everywhere. The city of Ayodhya is ablaze with light. Bhajans are sung loudly. The 51-inch tall idol of Ram Lalla was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple yesterday. Its pictures are circulating on social media.
