GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged Christians and Muslims across the country to participate in special prayers during tomorrow's consecration ceremonies at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. He emphasized that such collective efforts can lead to prosperity and peace for all fostering a harmonious coexistence.

Sarma highlighted that the significance of the Ram Temple extends beyond a Hindu victory, emphasizing its role in promoting Indian culture. He asserted that Babur, as a foreign aggressor, attacked not only Hindus but all Indians drawing parallels between Babur and the British colonialists.

Tomorrow has been declared a holiday for all educational institutions and universities in Assam, including private ones to mark the Ram Temple's consecration. State government institutions will be closed until 2:30 pm mirroring the schedule for central government institutions. Business owners are also encouraged to shutter their establishments during the ceremonies.
