PANAJI: Lucknow native Gaurav Katyawar (29), a luxury hotel manager has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife, Diksha Gangwar (27) by throwing her into the sea. The incident occurred on Friday at 3:40 pm.

Police received a crucial video showing Gaurav at the beach with Diksha, then returning alone after ensuring her demise. Diksha's body displayed injury marks prompting an investigation into possible assault.

Gaurav initially claimed Diksha accidentally fell into the sea, but the video evidence contradicted his account. Witnesses confirmed seeing both enter the sea but only Gaurav returned.

The couple, married for a year reportedly faced frequent issues exacerbated by Gaurav's extramarital affair. Police are actively investigating the motive behind the murder.
