KOZHIKODE: A suicide note was found in the incident near Vadakara Tiruvallur Maha Shiva Temple, where a 24-year-old woman Ananthalakshmi (Akhila) and her two children, Kashyap (6) and Vaibhav (six months) were found dead in a well.
The husband, Nidhish Namboothiri, had gone to Panur for a puja on Saturday. On Sunday morning, attempts to reach Akhila by phone were unsuccessful. Upon returning home around 1:30 pm, Nidhish conducted an inspection and found the three lifeless bodies in the well.
The suicide note, expressing love for Nidhish and a desire to be together in the next life, to care of parents, was recovered. However, the exact reason for the suicide remains unclear.
The youngest child, Vaibhav, was initially spotted in the well. Nidhish urgently called locals and rushed Vaibhav to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. The fire force from Vadakara later arrived and retrieved Akhila and her elder son Kashyap, who was tied to her body with a cloth.
Nidhish's parents, unaware of the incident due to illness, were present at home. Following an inquest in the presence of Vadakara Land Tribunal Tehsildar Sudhir Kumar, the bodies were shifted to the Medical College for post-mortem.
