BENGALURU: A man was arrested for editing the picture of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and circulating it on social media. The man from the Gadag district of Karnataka circulated the edited picture of the Ram temple with the flag of Pakistan on top and the text Babri Masjid below it.
After the picture shared by the man went viral, Hindu activists took note of the matter and lodged a complaint with the police. Following this the police arrested him. The person arrested was identified as Tajuddin Dafadar.
After being taken into custody, the police made the man remove the picture from Facebook. Gadag SP Babasab Nemagouda informed that the arrested Tajuddin is a native of Gadag and they are checking whether he has any connection with any other terrorist organizations. When he was taken into custody and interrogated, the man told the police that he had only shared a picture he had seen on Facebook and further investigation was required in this regard, the police said.
