TIRUR: A nurse was seriously injured after falling from a building under construction. TJ Mini (48), a native of Thrissur Chalakudy Chattikulam, and head nurse of Malappuram District Hospital, was injured. The incident happened today at 12 noon. The mini fell from the ground floor of the hospital's new building to the underground floor. This is a new building built for oncology treatment.

Mini had come for inspection along with the nursing superintendent and another nurse as part of the transfer of the hospital's cancer treatment ward to a new building. While checking the ground floor, she opened a door and stepped inside thinking there was a floor. Sadly, there was no floor beyond the door, only the underground floor. With this, the mini fell about eight meters.

Wooden planks were kept here as part of the construction work. Mini fell right on it. She was taken to the hospital by the staff. Mini, who suffered severe head and stomach injuries, was admitted to a private hospital in Kottayakkal for further treatment.
